Herdade dos Grous Tinto 2007

Herdade dos Grous 2006 was estate-grown and bottle from the best local varieties such as Aragones, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet, and Touriga Nacional, hand-selected at optimal ripeness and carefully vinified using prolonged maceration in open "lagares" and later matured in French oak barriques for 9 months. Try it with roast beef, chicken curry, and spaghetti bolognese. Serve at 14-16 C

VARIETAL:

Alicante Bouschet (30%), Syrah (15%), Touriga Nacional (20%), Aragones (35%)

VINIFICATION:

Grapes are hand-selected on a selection table, destammed, and crushed through a heat exchange to lower temperature to 10 C.

MATURING:

Matured in French Oak barriques for 9 months.
