2005 Tempranillo Tannat

Intense purple colour. Complex bouquet with a touch of spices, mineral, well balanced with red fruits and cassis. In the mouth it shows itself with great volume and a sweet start. Silky, with sweet tannins, well balanced with the acidity.

VINIFICATION:

Manual selection of the grapes, berry by berry. Controlled fermentation at 26 degrees C, maceration on skins pumping 3 times/day during 10 days. Malolactic fermentation in vats. 6 months in French and American oak vats.

MATURING:

Total Bottles: 9054 Bottles

Alcohol content: 13%

Tritatable Acid: 3,5 g de H2SO4

PH: 3,8

Volatile Acid: 0,4 g/l

Residual Sugar: 1,7 g/l

COMMENTS:

Region: Las Violetas, Canelones.

Vineyard: Espalier system, Calcareus vertisol soil.

Production: 50 hl/ha.

Harvest: Manual, Tempranillo, on February 21st., and Tannat on March 6th. 2005 at its optimum maturity.

Bottled: October 22nd. 2005, without filtering to preserve the maximal potential of the vineyard.
