2003 Cabernet Sauvignon

It drinks big, yet it is in balance. Deep ruby in color with aromas of black raspberry, currant and intense cocoa introduce a mouth filling explosion of plum, licorice and black cherries. With a supple velvety finish, the wine is approachable upon release, yet will continue to gain complexity with bottle age.

RECOGNITION:

Stephen Tanzer International Wine Cellar. 90 points. "Bright red-ruby. Complex nose melds redcurrant, plum, licorice, leather, mocha and brown spices. Suave and silky, with a subtle sweetness to the flavors of redcurrant, licorice, graphite and minerals, and an intriguing suggestion of soil character. Finishes with good length and hints of leather and game. Plenty of nuance here." Jan/Feb 2007.

VARIETAL:

Cabernet Sauvignon

VINIFICATION:

Meander's production is exclusively Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. The wine is a blend of fruit from two historical vineyards both of which have been family owned and farmed for generations: Morisoli Vineyard in Rutherford and Lewelling Vineyards in St. Helena. These producers are two of the Valley's most sought after by winemakers who craft the highest quality Cabernet wines.
