AOC Côtes du Rhône Village Cairanne
Our wines come from vineyards located in the village of Cairanne and nearby surroundings in the département of Vaucluse, on the left bank of the Rhône river, facing the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Mont Ventoux.
70% Grenache noir, 10% Syrah, 10% Old Carignan, 10% Cinsault
The grapes are exclusively hand harvested allowing a selection on plot. 70% is vinify by traditional vinification with destemmed grapes. Maceration lasts 6 to 8 days at a controlled temperature (concrete and stainless steel vats) in order to extract a maximum of tannins and fruit. 30% goes through carbonic maceration (on Syrah, Grenache and Carignan) enhancing the roundness of the tannins and freshness of the fruit flavours.
Deep ruby colour with violet tints sign of its youth. The nose is dominated by little fruits (Strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants). Swirling develops flavours of red fruit jam. Tannins are young but smooth. The mouth has a nice and stunning volume with a dominance of cherries and spices and a beautiful finish.
