2003 Granbazán Albariño Limousin
The Granbazán Albariño Ambar was the first stunning Albariño made through a new fermentation process. Medium straw color. Greatly intense aroma, with a floral and mineral touch and a background of mature tropical fruits, where it shows hints of banana and mango. It is quite thick, with good acidity, tasty, fresh, expressive and with wonderful persistence.
- Wine Spectator. 92 points.
- Wine & Spirits. 92 points. June 2006.
- Saveour Magazine: "A serious Albariño made with palate-coating glycerine and herbalmenthol flavors with some peach and apricot. Feels complete, finishes dry." May 2006.
Albariño
Crisp and herbaceous due to the fact that the must has had contact with the skin of the grape. Collection is made by hand and in boxes, marking the beginning of the fermentation process of these elegant fruity wines. Maceration takes place between 5-7°C. Extracted must is added to the fermentation tanks primarily through gravity, with a small percentage of pressed must added. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks over 1.5 months.
8 months in Limousin Oak.
