Bordeaux Superieur Cuvee O'Byrne, 2006

Chateau Brande Bergere was acquired in 1997 by Edith & Denis Dalibot who carried out a complete renovation of the vineyard and the 20 acre winery located north of Saint Emilion. Working to improve the quality of the wine produced on this exceptional terrior, yields are controlled through green harvest, grapes are handpicked and fully destemmed and with temperature-controlled fermentation, insuring only the highest quality wine is produced.

VARIETAL:

45% Merlot 40% Cabernet Franc 15% Cabernet Sauvignon

VINIFICATION:

Soils are drained, vines carefully pruned, yields controlled through green harvest, and grapes are handpicked and fully destemmed. These careful measures along with temperature-controlled fermentation insure only the highest quality wine is produced.

MATURING:

The Cuvee O’Byrne, produced in small quantities from the best parcels of the vineyard, is matured in oak barrels for 17 months.
